Meet Ryan, an entrepreneurial powerhouse with over two decades of experience in the manufacturing industry. His journey began at the young age of 17 when he started working in a machine shop in his hometown of Williamson, WV. Ryan’s passion for manufacturing grew stronger as he pursued his college education, remaining employed in various roles within the industry.

Throughout his career, Ryan climbed the ladder, transitioning from small-town machine shops to managing manufacturing centers for global companies. For the past 15 years, he has held management positions, serving as a supervisor and manager, overseeing diverse responsibilities, including operations, procurement, maintenance, sales, quality, safety, logistics, office management, inventory, and scheduling. Remarkably, he also worked hands-on as a machinist, tool and die maker, CNC programmer, and manufacturing engineer.

Ryan is exceptionally well-qualified, with a manufacturing engineering degree from Marshall University and a Machinist Technology degree from the esteemed Robert C. Byrd Institute. He has pursued further training, obtaining certifications in NIMS, OSHA 30, and Mastercam CAD/CAM.

In October 2021, Ryan took a bold leap and founded MAXCO Manufacturing, LLC. This enterprising venture specializes in providing top-notch manufacturing services, producing high-quality detail parts and components crucial for various manufacturing industries. Based in a 2,000 square foot facility in Ona, WV, MAXCO offers an extensive array of services, encompassing manufacturing, machining, engineering, CAD/CAM design, manufacturing consulting, and the production of parts and components.

To fuel the company’s growth, Ryan collaborated with FASTER WV business coach, Tyler Brandstetter. The valuable business coaching and the FASTER WV loan for equipment and a new commercial building were instrumental in driving MAXCO’s progress. Ryan commends the FASTER WV resources for contributing significantly to his venture’s success and recommends the program to other start-up businesses.

With an unwavering commitment to excellence, MAXCO has already garnered a reputation for its expertise and high-quality products, attracting a lineup of eager customers since its startup. The infusion of $125,000 in FASTER WV loans for equipment and a commercial building allowed MAXCO to invest in Computerized Numeric Controlled tooling machines and CNC machining equipment, setting the stage for exponential growth.

MAXCO has already forged strong partnerships with three national companies in West Virginia, poised to secure substantial contracts. Additionally, the company proudly holds approval as an official vendor for two global OEMs, elevating its position in the industry.

The future looks bright for MAXCO, with projected sales expected to double by year-end, fueled by its cutting-edge technology and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. Already expanding, Ryan hired the company’s first employee in April 2023, with further plans to hire two more full-time employees and one part-time employee in the coming three years.

Ryan’s entrepreneurial journey exemplifies the power of dedication, expertise, and strategic partnerships. Through sheer determination and the support of valuable FASTER WV resources, MAXCO Manufacturing, LLC is thriving and poised to make a significant impact in the manufacturing industry, delivering excellence with every product and service they offer.
