Unveiling Hurricane’s Hidden Gem: Ashley Deal’s Social Event Space

Amidst the landscape of Hurricane’s business scene, Ashley Deal emerges as a trailblazer with a journey that started during 15 years in the event industry. Her expertise was honed as the Director and Events and Marketing Manager of Putnam County Parks and Recreation at Valley Park, providing a solid foundation for her future entrepreneurial endeavors.

Ashley is not alone in her entrepreneurial journey; she shares it with her husband, Zachary Deal. Together, they are a powerhouse couple, each contributing to the business world with Ashley spearheading the newly opened Social Event Space and Zach managing Bracket Sportz LLC. Their goal setting and grit exemplify that success is achievable through dedication and hard work!

In October 2023, Social Event Space celebrated its ribbon cutting on Main Street in Hurricane, WV. Boasting an industrial, modern aesthetic, the venue offers a great blend of freshness and fun. With seating capacity for up to 120 guests, it can host a variety of events, from weddings and birthday parties to corporate gatherings and baby or bridal showers.

The venue’s unique shape allows it to accommodate both small and large events, setting it apart in the event space market. Ashley’s invaluable experience shines through with the additional optional consulting services offered to clients, including planning, decorating, and coordination of event details, like arranging catering, floral arrangements, and invitations.

Ashley attributes part of her success to her collaboration with FASTER WV, working with a business coach who played a pivotal role prior to her business launch. Her coach provided assistance in crafting a marketing strategy to introduce the business to the public and potential funders, and helped her stay on budget. Additionally, FASTER WV’s support, including the award of a mini grant, helped Ashley acquire essential kitchen equipment, ensuring Social Event Space could operate smoothly from the start.

Social Event Space isn’t just a venue; it’s a catalyst for local economic growth. By hosting a variety of events, the venue stimulates business for caterers, florists, bakeries, and rental companies. With two food truck hookups available, Social Event Space also supports local food trucks, eliminating the need for generators.  The community is responding to their presence and Ashley is thrilled with so many events on her spring calendar!

Proudly integrated into the Hurricane business community, Social Event Space recently expanded its offerings to include business meeting space during the week, showcasing its versatility and commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its clientele.

Social Event Space invites you to experience its unique charm and functionality. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a corporate event, or any celebration, Ashley and her team are ready to turn your vision into a lasting memory. Tours are available for those eager to explore the possibilities within this vibrant space.

Join Ashley’s success story and let Social Event Space be the canvas for your memorable moments.
